The Brief
Knowing that the last few years had been difficult and turbulent, Hali Rugs were looking to display their products to a new audience, and Interiors Australia presented the opportunity to showcase to a number of designers and architects. The exhibition, Interiors Australia, was back for the first time since 2019, and one of the first exhibitions back at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre since the pandemic had started.
In order to help their brand stand out, Hali were looking to create a gallery style experience, which would be sleek and simple, allowing each rug to be a prominent feature of the stand. The use of plain white, large walls aimed to help draw the audience’s eyes towards the rugs. With their rugs being a high-end retail product, Hali Rugs believed that the concept for a museum style gallery would create intrigue and curiosity for the attendees. The end goal for their stand was to generate new leads and establish new client bases that would help them to grow as a brand.

Hali Rugs Exhibition Stand
The Design
Working with Crowd Culture’s design team, the following concept was able to be created:
- A museum style gallery was able to accentuate the rugs
- 3.2 M High walls, which created intrigue from the outside and highlighted the rugs on the inside
- Feature lighting across each rug to outline the prominent features
- Custom Self-Adhesive Vinyl (SAV) Signage and Branding
- Feature designed wall slits, to portray attendees with a glimpse of the rugs from the outside.
- Easily installed and effortlessly removable allowing for the opportunity to visit more exhibitions and events.
The Results
Hali Rugs were very pleased with the success that they had at this expo, and attendees and organisers were also very pleased with the stand. The stand received the award for ‘Best in Show for Textiles and Rugs’ which was judged on the criteria ‘product’, ‘display of the product’ and ‘how the stand represented the brand at large’. This was a very large achievement for Hali Rugs and was a proud moment for Crowd Culture, due to the fact that it was Hali Rugs first exhibition and Crowd Culture’s first exhibition back since the pandemic had started.
In addition to these results, Hali Rugs were also able to generate 900 new leads with 400 of these being genuine new prospects. This was a significant number and highlighted the return on investment that can be generated from Exhibition and Tradeshows. With over 7000 attendees over the two days, Hali Rugs were able to place themselves in front of a number of prospective clients whilst also generating strong brand recognition.
Dan Swart, the managing Director of Hali Rugs said that working with Crowd Culture was seamless and that the “Communication and service was honestly a 10/10. Nothing was too much to ask, everything was executed professionally and with a smile.”
Overall we are really pleased to see the results and success that Hali Rugs were able to generate with their stand and we are delighted to see events, exhibitions and tradeshows back in action across Australia and we cannot wait to be part of many more!
